Helping marketing and nonprofit teams find a practical path forward, and put it into action.
How I Can Help
I work with marketing and nonprofit teams when important projects need more structure and direction, or experienced support to move forward. I start by understanding the organization’s goals, how the work is currently being handled, and where things are getting stuck. That allows me to identify a practical path forward and begin contributing right away.My background spans project management, marketing operations, content, and nonprofit data work, supported by over a decade in daily print journalism. That experience strengthened my ability to quickly understand complex topics, communicate clearly, manage competing priorities, and distill large amounts of information into what matters most. I am comfortable looking at the big-picture goal while also handling the details required to reach it.Each project is shaped around what the team actually needs. Some center on a defined initiative. Others begin with a data reporting challenge, a workflow problem, or a period of transition. My role may include recommending a path forward, doing the hands-on work to put it into practice, or both.I work through short-term contracts and ongoing retainers. Depending on the need, I may lead a specific initiative or provide experienced capacity alongside an internal team. Together, we establish the priorities, expected deliverables, and a practical scope based on available time and resources. The immediate work matters, but so does what remains afterward. My goal is to leave teams with stronger processes, better information, and tools they can continue using. The sections below outline my Marketing Services, Website Services, and Nonprofit Services. The case studies show how I’ve helped teams address specific challenges and move their work forward.

My role is to clarify the work, create the structure needed to manage it, keep contributors aligned, and move the project through completion. This support may be useful when:
A high-priority campaign or initiative needs a dedicated project owner
Work is stalled by unclear responsibilities, competing deadlines, or missed handoffs.

Potential outcomes include:
Clear project ownership, timelines, and responsibilities
Better coordination across teams, agencies, and contractors
More consistent content and campaign workflows
Improved visibility into project status, next steps, and risks

Website Services
Content Management & Audience Development
For organizations that need experienced support organizing website content, improving how audiences navigate information, or managing an ongoing content program.I help teams identify what needs attention on the website and create a practical structure for managing content going forward. Depending on the project, that may involve auditing existing pages, improving navigation, packaging related information into landing pages, managing editorial and visual content, or using analytics to guide future decisions. This support may be useful when:
Website content has grown outdated, inconsistent, or difficult to manage
Visitors have trouble finding important information or understanding how content connects
A large collection of articles, reports, graphics, or resources needs to be organized and repackaged
A website redesign or update requires content planning and coordination
An internal team needs help managing writers, subject-matter experts, designers, or other contributors
Analytics are available, but the organization is not using them to guide content decisions

Improved navigation and audience pathways
Organized, updated, and more useful website content
Stronger landing pages that connect related information
More consistent editorial and publishing workflows
Better visibility into how audiences engage with the site
Clear priorities for future content development
Nonprofit Services
CRM & Development Operations
For nonprofit leaders who need more reliable donor data, better reporting, useful audience segments, or experienced capacity during a campaign or staffing transition. I can step in for a focused project or ongoing support, helping keep essential work moving while strengthening the information and processes that support fundraising decisions. This support may be useful when:
The organization is preparing for a capital campaign, strategic initiative, or period of growth
A CRM review is needed to identify reporting gaps, data-structure issues, and opportunities for stronger donor segmentation
Staff transitions have left important database knowledge or workflows without clear ownership
Leadership or the board needs clearer information and confidence in existing data to guide fundraising decisions
Potential outcomes include:
Useful audience segments for cultivation, stewardship, appeals, and communications
Clear priorities for CRM improvements and data cleanup
Better continuity and institutional knowledge during staffing transitions
Stronger information for campaign planning and board-level decision-making
Reports that help leadership understand giving and engagement trends
Case Studies
Nonprofit Case Study
CRM Data Quality and Supporter Re-Engagement
A mid-sized nonprofit was having trouble reaching parts of its audience by email and did not have a clear picture of which contacts were still active and reachable.I reviewed the CRM and email data and found several issues affecting thousands of records, including inaccurate email statuses, outdated contact information, and list-management practices that made reporting less reliable.I developed and carried out a cleanup and re-engagement plan that:
Corrected more than 2,000 inaccurate email statuses
Retained 97% of restored contacts as email subscribers through a targeted re-engagement campaign
Improved email deliverability from 86% to 98%
Used a targeted postcard campaign to re-engage supporters with missing or undeliverable email addresses, resulting in a 9% response rate and nearly $1,800 in unexpected donations
Put ongoing email monitoring and data-retention practices in place
The project gave the organization a cleaner database, more dependable email outreach, and a practical framework for maintaining data quality over time.
Marketing Case Study
Building Scalable Campaign Systems for a SaaS Startup
After receiving a new round of funding and expanding its marketing team, a SaaS startup needed stronger systems to coordinate work and prepare for growth. Before scaling its marketing efforts, the company also needed a clear picture of the content it already had and how it could support future campaigns.I worked with the team to understand how projects were being managed, where responsibilities and handoffs were unclear, and what structure would make campaign planning more consistent.I developed a scalable Asana project-management system that could be used across campaigns, events, webinars, content production, email, and advertising. The templates created clearer ownership, timelines, dependencies, and visibility into project status, helping the growing team coordinate work and reduce missed tasks.I also completed a content audit and built a centralized tracker organized by topic, format, audience, buying stage, publication date, and platform. The audit helped the company understand what content it already had and identify opportunities to promote, update, repurpose, or retire materials for upcoming marketing campaigns. The result was a stronger operational foundation for growth, better campaign coordination, and a more strategic approach to using existing content as the company scaled its marketing.
Project Experience
My experience spans nonprofit development, marketing operations, SaaS, media, and editorial work, grounded in more than a decade as a journalist at a daily newspaper. That background strengthened my ability to ask the right questions, communicate clearly, manage contributors and deadlines, and organize complex information. These projects show how I have applied those skills to content, data, and operational systems.

Website Launch & Content Management
Led the development and launch of a new website for a nonprofit professional membership organization in healthcare IT. Coordinated subject-matter experts across six topic areas, established the site architecture and content workflow, and managed the development of nearly 100 pages through launch. The new structure gave the organization a manageable publishing framework and made the topic-specific content easier for members to explore.
Database Organization & Taxonomy
Managed and organized a marketing technology database containing more than 15,000 company and product records. Refined categories, taxonomy, and content standards to make the database more accurate, searchable, and useful to marketers evaluating technology.
Editorial Content Packaging
Developed landing pages and content packages for nonprofit media organizations, connecting related stories and resources so readers could explore important topics more deeply and build a stronger relationship with the publication.
